This is a monstrous idea. God forbid this would happen in my lifetime. This demonic Englishman (surprise, suprise) is unabashedly selling idea as though it were a good thing. Only an idiot would think there was any benefit in being chipped like an animal in a zoo, is a good thing. Voluntary slavery! What happens if someone turns the rfid chip off, what if yours gets counterfeited with that of a wanted criminal? Is that a chance you would take for free broadband?

@MarkFaust RFID wireless barcodes already here, techno works well tho can as you suggest be tampered with or blocked with a big electromagnetic pusle – but would have to be sustained to disrupt – say – a retail store or warehouse.

Let me ask you Patrick Dixon, don’t you think Corporate power is getting out of control. Don’t you think the way we’re treating our planet is horrible. Isn’t it time to stop thinking about saving costs and increasing productivity until we reduce pollution in the world.
